of trips to Mount Adams, Mount Jeffer

pictures depict scenes of Interest

Track on Twenty-second Street.
Much speculation was caused out on
Twenty-second street the other day
when a gang of men from the City &
Suburban Railway Company started to
dig up the street Just north of Gllsan
street It was at first supposed that the
company was about to build its North
Portland line, but, after the pavement
had been removed and track put down for
a distance of about 20 feet, the stone and
macadam were put back in place, and
all that remains is a short stretch of l
single track on the east side of the street.
The track is connected with nothing,
and goes nowhere, and It is supposed that
all It is down for is to hold the company's
franchise on the street.
