His Missing Bot. An Oregon Pioneer,
who was putting up at the Perkins with
his son, missed the "kid" jenerday for
several hours and had all the hotel at
taches hunting for him without avail.
Finally Chief Clerk Thompson asked the
old gentleman the age of the missing
fcoy. "He's 54 j ears old." replied the sep
tuagenarian, and the hotel men quit the
search. They thought a lad of that aga
ought to bo able to take care of himself.

English, meeting the requirements of
English composition, as the review por
trays on every page. Mr. Peddicord has
thought deeply, read widely and is pos
sessed of a literary turn of mind. Tho

the public a correct estimate of Mr. Kip
