accused of purloining gold chains from

I CITY TREASURER SAFE.
The recent "lock-out" of the three-ton burglar-proof
safe in the City Treasurer's office was
locked for four days, with Its automatic lock
ing complications. After se-veral dajs of fruit
less effort by those claiming to be experts, who
failed to open this safe. J. E. Davis, proprie
tor "The Safe Store." at C6 Third St., was
called, and opened It. Last March" the bank
burglar-proof safe at Castle Rock was unsuc
cessfully attacked by burglars, and safe could
not be opened, and Mr. Davis was sent for, and
the safe opened and repaired, leaving It in per
fect condition, with lt timers and locking de
vices. Also many burglarized safes are sent to
paid safe store for repairs, and turned out from
his repair works In perfect order.
