Nonprofit organizations can now ap-
ply for grants from the Portland Clean
Energy Community Benefits Fund un-
til Nov. 30.
With $60 million available in funding
for clean energy, workforce and con-
tractor development, community gar-
dens, tree planting, and other climate
projects, officials are looking for proj-
ects that provide climate solutions that
help communities that bear the greatest
impacts of climate change, including
low-income people and people of color.
Portland Clean Energy Fund staff
members are available to help navigate
the application process through infor-
mation sessions, office hours, grant
writing trainings, and technical assis-
tance workshops in clean energy. Learn

The Portland Clean Energy Commu-
nity Benefits Fund is a historic initia-
tive created and led by communities
of color and passed by Portlanders in
November 2018. It provides dedicated
funding to address climate change and
advance racial and social justice.
The fund is guided by a nine-mem-
ber Grant Committee of diverse Port-
land residents.
