Sponsored by the
Community Military Apprecia-

Parks is Hiring for Summer
Portland Parks & Recreation
has announced that it is hiring
hundreds of people to help staff
summer programs, including
more than 700 for swimming
pools and associated programs,
including about 50 seasonal
maintenance workers.
Current PP& R Aquatics and
Recreation Coordinator Made-
leine Hanlon-Austin is a testa-
ment to the satisfaction many
employees find in their jobs.
“I’m proud to work for Port-
land Parks & Recreation because
it’s inclusive and because I can
bring my whole self to work,” she
said.
With the community’s invest-
ment in the Parks Local Option
Levy, PP&R says it again expects
to be one of the largest summer-
time employers of young people
in Portland.
