Do the Right Thing
Racial tensions rise to a boiling point on the hottest
day of the year in ‘Do the Right Thing,’ a 1989
comedy-drama masterpiece produced, written and
directed by Spike Lee. With the opus on racism and
police violence in America, the film still resonates
today and will get a screening as part of the
Portland Black Film Festival on Saturday, Feb. 15
at 7:30 p.m. at the Hollywood Theater.
