The project will include new building construction, building demolition, and site improvements on an occupied site and in coordination with an immediately adjacent housing construction project overseen by Home Forward. Active community engagement will also be a part of the project scope. The proposed redevelopment will combine all college functions into one, multi-storied, 40,000 to 50,000 square foot facility with sufficient parking on two-acres of the three-acre site. This new structure will include classrooms, computer labs, meeting rooms, event space and staff offices as well as space for service partners such as the Department of Human Services (DHS).
