The Walk to End Lupus Now will take place at 9 a.m. at the Oaks Amusement Park in southeast Portland. Tumultuous 1960s on Stage – Lauren Steele of Portland portrays 13 different characters in “Queens Girl in the World,” a coming-of-age story about a young black girl attending school in the 1960s where she is one of only four black students and race suddenly matters.
