Pastor Back at AME Zion
The Rev. Joyce M. Smith
has returned to her role as the
leader of Community A.M.E.
Zion Church in Vancouver af-
ter serving as presiding elder
of the wider Oregon and Wash-
ington Conference for a year.
Prior to her appointment
leading the conference, she had
served as pastor of Communi-
ty A.M.E. Zion for eight years.
During that time, she grew the
church and implemented vari-
ous outreach ministries.
Community A.M.E. Zion is
celebrating 43 years of min-
istry in the Harney Heights
neighborhood of Vancouver.

vice, from noon to 12:30 p.m. at
the Springer & Son Funeral Home
in Aloha, 4150 S.W. 185th Ave.
