Ariana Grande Returning for Concert
Publicists say Ariana Grande will return to En-
gland to play a charity concert in Manchester on
Sunday, joined by big names including Coldplay,
Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.
The “One Love Manchester” show will be held
at the city’s Old Trafford cricket ground just un-
der two weeks after a bomber killed 22 people at a
Grande concert in Manchester.
Proceeds will go to an emergency fund set up by
the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross.
In a statement after the attack, Grande said “we
won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win. Our
response to this violence must be to come closer to-
gether, to help each other, to love more, to sing loud-
er and to live more kindly and generously than we
did before.”
Columbia Gorge Buses Return
Express bus service to Mult-
nomah Falls and Rooster Rock
State Park from the Gateway Transit
Center began its summer operations
over the Memorial Day holiday
weekend thanks to the Oregon De-
partment of Transportation.
Like last year, the Columbia
Gorge Express bus will operate
Friday through Sunday, including
holidays through Sept. 24. All buses
are wheelchair accessible and can
accommodate up to three bikes.
The service provides transpor-
tation options that help relieve
severe parking and traffic con-
gestion at Multnomah Falls, one
of the most popular attractions in
Oregon. A round-trip ticket is $5
per person.
Season one surpassed expecta-
tions with more than 30,000 trips
over 18 weekends and highlighted
a significant demand for transit
service in the Columbia Gorge.
