Rangeela - The Dance Show was a presentation of Indian dance styles in a benefit to build houses for impoverished people in India.
Indian Dance for a Good Cause
“Rangeela - The Dance Show” - was
a unique effort by the Indian commu-
nity of Portland to raise funds to build
houses for impoverished people in the
11830 Kerr Pkwy. 97035
Noon-7pm,

city of Chennai and its outskirts in
India who were severely affected by
flooding.
The benefit involved different dance
forms of India such as Bharatanatyam,
Mohiniattam, Bangra, Bollywood,
Bengali as well international dance
forms such as Hip Hop and Flamenco.
Close to 100 passionate dancers
from the local community and more
than 500 people attended the June 18
show at Lakeridge High School.
