OSU in Final Four
(AP) — Sydney Wiese scored 18 points, in-
cluding three free throws in the final 33 seconds
and Oregon State advanced to the women’s Final
Four for the first time after a 60-57 upset victory
over Baylor on Monday night.
Jamie Weisner, the Pac-12 Player of the Year
who was the regional Most Outstanding Player,
had 16 points while Ruth Hamblin had 10 points
and 12 rebounds for the Beavers playing in their
first regional final.
Oregon State (32-4), which has already set a
school record for victories this season, now ad-
vances to face three-time defending national
champion UConn in Indianapolis. The game is
scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. and will be broad-
cast on ESPN.

After scoring a dramatic win over defending na-
tional champion Duke, the Oregon Ducks met their
match against Oklahoma in the NCAA men’s tour-
nament.
Buddy Hield hit eight 3-pointers while scoring
37 points to propel the Sooners to an 80-68 victory
over Oregon in the West Region final of the NCAA
Tournament on Saturday.
Elgin Cook scored 24 points for the Ducks (31-
7), whose 11-game winning streak ended one game
shy of the second Final Four in school history.
Two days earlier, Dillon Brooks scored 22 points
to help the Ducks score an 82-68 victory over Duke
in the West Region semifinal.
