Filmmakers Not Truthful, Berry Says

(AP) - Halle Berry said Hol-
lywood’s lack of diversity stems
from a lack of honesty. Filmmak-
ers and actors should tell the truth,
she said, “and the ilms, I think,
that are coming out of Hollywood
aren’t truthful.”

Valentine Ball and Dance -- The African American
Men’s Club invites the community to a Valentine’s
dinner ball and dance to beneit its scholarships
program, Saturday, Feb. 13 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
at the historic Billy Webb Elks Lodge, 6 N. Tilla-
mook St. Music will be provided by disc jockey Mi-
chael Morris, Portland’s original king of old school.
