There’s still time to see Zoo-
Lights, the festival holiday cele-
bration at the Oregon Zoo runs
through Jan. 3.
A walk-through winter won-
derland of more than 1.6 million
colored lights is highlighted by
forests of lighted trees, life-size
illuminated animal silhouettes,
and the light-bedecked zoo train.
This year marks the 28th Zoo-
Lights. To help alleviate park-
ing congestion, visitors who
take MAX on regular ZooLights
nights will receive an addition-
al $5 off general admission with
proof of ridership.
“Parking can definitely be
challenging on busy nights and
the Sunset Transit Center is just
one stop up from the zoo,” said
Ivan Ratcliff, the zoo’s guest
services manager. “I strongly
recommend using this option
whenever possible.”
Regular ZooLights admission
is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for
seniors, $9.95 for children and
free for children 2 and under.
The hours for Zoolights are 5-9
p.m.
