Christmas Potluck --
Some of Portland best jazz
artists will perform at a special
Christmas Potluck in the Park, the
local group that feeds anyone in need, on Fri-
day, Dec. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Port-
land Art Museum, 1119 S.W. Park Ave. The
event is free to all and anyone without family
or friends. Guests can also make free phone
calls to loved ones and guest transportation
will be available for the mobility impaired

Festival Holiday Tradition -- Oregon Ballet
Theatre combines all the talent of its company
and school to return George Balanchine’s pop-
ular version of ‘The Nutcracker,’ to Keller Au-
ditorium, a festive holiday tradition of shows
now playing through Saturday, Dec. 26. For

Explore the Science of Sound -- Children
can explore the science of sound at “Blue Man
Group Making Waves,’’ a national touring ex-
hibit now showing through Jan. 10 at Portland’s
Children’s Museum. The 3,000 square foot ex-
hibit takes the whole family through a multi
sensory exploration of sound that provides an
opportunity to play together while discovering
the fun of music.

ist and author Helen
Keller. “The Miracle
Worker,” is one of
the most triumphant
stories of the human

“Golden-Boy,” the Clifford
Odets drama masterpiece about a
young violinist who gives up his career for a
chance at immortality in the boxing ring. Per-

Christmas Carol Farewell Twist -- After two
holiday seasons, a favorite Portland comedy
is back for a final twist in “Second City’s A
