Fourth Sunday Jam Night -- A friends and
family variety comedy show in a Saturday
Night Live format with local recording and
performing artists, bands, dance crews, po-
ets, and drama groups, takes place each fourth
Sunday of the month at 7 p.m. at Celebration
Tabernacle, 8131 N. Denver Ave. The free
event is open to the community.

Tree Lighting Ceremony -- Thousands of
Portlanders will gather at Pioneer Courthouse
Square on Friday, Nov.27 at 5:30 p.m. for the
31st annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. This
year’s event will feature a holiday sing-a-long
featuring Thomas Lauderdale with members of
Pink Martini, the Pacific Youth Choir, The von
Trapps and more.
Café and Tabernacle Thanksgiving -- Prop-
er (Uniting Community Across All Lines) and
their partners at Po’Shines Café de la Soul and
Celebration Tabernacle in Kenton host a free
Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 26 with a day
of music, entertainment and great food to peo-
ple of any race, class, ethnicity, gender, sexual
identity, ability, nation of origin, age, and re-
ligion. The feast is held from noon to 4 p.m.
at the Celebration Tabernacle, 8131 N. Denver
Ave.
High Five Comedy Show -- Brody Theater,
16 N.W. Broadway, presents a perfect respite
after too much Thanksgiving Day turkey with
a night of improv comedy on Friday, Nov. 27
at 7:30 p.m. Five skilled improvisers will take
on two different styles of improv to create one

America’s Largest Christmas Bazaar --
Hundreds of handcrafted gifts made by local
and regional artisans and craftspeople will be
featured with vendors filling 900 booths at the
Expo Center in north Portland for the annual
America’s Largest Christmas Bazaar, returning
Kids Explore the Science of Sound -- Chil-
dren can explore the science of sound at “Blue
Man Group Making Waves,’’ a national tour-
ing exhibit now showing through Jan. 10 at
Portland’s Children’s Museum. The 3,000
square foot exhibit takes the whole family
through a multi sensory exploration of sound
that provides an opportunity to play together
while discovering the fun of music.
Portland’s Saturday Market -- Portland Sat-
urday Market in Old Town brings some of Or-
egon’s best handmade products, good eats and
live entertainment from street musicians and
other artists. Located next to the Willamette
River at 2 S.W. Naito Parkway, Saturday Mar-
ket is also open every Sunday through Christ-
mas Eve.
