Multnomah County Animal
Services is celebrating Veteran’s
Day by discounting adoption fees
for veterans and sending care
packages to our deployed troops.
Anyone who brings a care
package to the animal services
facilities in Troutdale or the agen-
cy’s satellite center on North
Lombard Street through Saturday,
Nov. 14 will receive 50 percent off
pet adoptions.
Multnomah County Animal
Services is the only open door
shelter in Portland, the primary
agency responsible for lost pets,
animal abuse investigations, and
animal rescue in the Portland area.

seeing results. In 2015, its stu-
dents advanced an average of
2.5 grade-levels in math and two
grade-levels in reading in a sin-
gle academic year. Seventy-five
percent of Open School students
live in poverty and 78 percent are
students of color.
The school is also part of a
new community campus, which
includes the Boys and Girls Clubs
of Portland Metropolitan Area.
