Vancouver’s diverse communi-
ty will participate in a showcase
of native regalia, song, dance, and
other activities during a Second
Saturday event in honor of Native
American Heritage Month.
The public is invited to discov-
er more about this rich history and
take part in this year’s family-fun
activities from 1 to 3 p.m., Satur-
day, Nov. 14, at the City of Van-
couver’s Water Center, 4600 S.E.
Columbia Way.
The free activities will begin
with a Chinook blessing, fol-

song. Highlighting the event will
be the native runway showcasing
distinctive regalia, clothing, and
adornments meaningful to each
dancer and dance.
Visitors can also enjoy displays
featuring information about the
Cathlapotle Plankhouse, built at
the Ridgefield National Wildlife
