Forum to Hear from ‘Bloody Sunday’ Activist

rights and
immigration
The community is invited to
learn more about voting rights and
immigration during upcoming fo-
rums to mark the 50th anniversa-
ries of the 1965 Voting Rights and
Immigration Acts.
Two nationally recognized
speakers, Joanne Bland and Ariel
Luckey, will talk about the legacy
of discrimination and its continued
impact on basic rights during two
upcoming presentations on “Race,
Immigration and Citizenship” on
the WSU-Vancouver campus.

tion, Assimilation, and White
Privilege” the following Tuesday,
Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. He is a national-

to reflect on their own families’
migration stories and the com-
plexities of national immigration
policy and enforcement.
