Pumpkin
Carving Fun
Portland Farmers Market invites
everyone to its annual Great Pump-
kin events at its King Market site in
northeast Portland and at the down-
town location next to Portland State
University.
The Great Pumpkin event at King
will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25
beginning at 10 a.m. Visitors can
take part in pumpkin carving and
the pumpkins are free of charge.
There will also be face painting and
goody bags for children. Costumes
are highly encouraged. Live enter-
tainment by Castletown will follow
from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
The Great Pumpkin event at the
PSU market, downtown, will be
held on Saturday, Oct. 31, with a
pumpkin-carving contest for kids
and adults from 9 a.m. to noon. Priz-
es include a market basket for the
best child carving ($40 value) and
$50 in market tokens for the best
adult carving. A children’s costume
parade starts at noon All costumed
kids receive a goody bag for dress-
ing up. Entertainment will be pro-
vided by the Hops & Honey String Pumpkin carving for kids and adults will take place at the Portland Farmers Market at King School Park in northeast
Portland Sunday, Oct. 25, and again at the market’s Portland State University location, downtown, on Saturday, Oct. 31.
