The Conscious Rap Proj-
ect is proud to bring GZA to
Portland, one of the founding
members of world-famous
hip-hop group Wu Tang Clan.
Gary Grice, who has per-
formed as GZA for decades,
is known as the rap group’s
“spiritual head” being both
the oldest and the first within
the group to receive a record
deal.
“The Source” places him
on their list of the Top 50 Lyr-
icists of All Time.
Rasheed Jamal will be
opening and DJ Drae Slapz
will be mixing for this unique
Portland show, which takes
place Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9
p.m. at the Analog Café and
Theater, 720 S.E. Hawthorne
Blvd. Tickets are $35 at the
door.

consciousness around endless
senseless gun violence.
The concert opens with a ral-
ly at Pioneer Square at 6 p.m. on
Sunday, Oct. 11 that will march
to the Ash Street Saloon, 225
S.W Ash St. for the paid concert
that begins at 8 p.m. The show is
$5 and is 21+ exclusively.
More than two dozen local
artists and DJs, including The
U-Krew, Mic Crenshaw, Tony
Ozier and countless more are
scheduled to perform.
