and South Africa during a free con-
cert, Saturday, Feb. 28 from noon to
3:30 p.m. at Portland Foursquare
Church, 2830 N.E. Flanders St.
All performers are marimba stu-
dents of MyLinda King of Boka
Marimba. Proceeds from a raffle will
benefit the Portland-Mutare Sister
City Organization and Africa AIDS

for Best Picture
(AP) - "Selma" director Ava
DuVernay says she's disappointed
that star David Oyelowo's perfor-
mance as Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr., wasn't recognized with an Oscar
nod by still feels honored the firm is
a contender for the top Oscar.
"I was hurt by the fact that David
wasn't nominated because I know
what it took to get that performance,"
