Portland to play at the Hawthorne
Theater on Tuesday evening, Nov.
18. The Los Angele- based group

Palms. ’ The New York Times maga­
zine says they’re on the cusp of
stardom.

“Hip Hop Family Tree”
series, Ed Piskor, on Sun­
day, Nov. 16 from 6 p.m. to
9p.m.
“The Hip Hop Family Tree” books offer an
encyclopedic and exciting history about the hip
hop world and how it came to be what it is today.
Full box editions of Piskor’s Volume 1 and 2 will be
available for purchase, and refreshments will be
served free to all visitors. Sketches will be pro­
vided at discretion of the author.
