Horrific School Shooting
A popular student responsible for a horrific shooting
at a W ashington’s Marysville Pilchuck High School
invited his victims to lunch by text message, then shot
them at their school cafeteria table, investigators said
Monday. Five students were shot in Friday’s rampage,
and two have died. The shooter, 15-year-old Jaylen
Fryberg, committed suicide.

TriMet Workers Approve Cuts
Amalgamated Transit Union members at TriMet have
voted to ratify a tentative agreement on a new labor
contract that reduces health care benefits. Over the life
of the four-year contract, TriMet avoids paying out
about $50 million due to changes to wages and
healthcare benefits when compared to continuing the
2009-2012 contract terms.
