Citizen Review
Committee (CRC)
is an advisory body
to IPR and the Police Bureau.
CRC holds appeal hearings of police misconduct investiga­
tions; listens to community concerns; periodically serves on
the Police Review Board, an advisory body to the Chief of
Police that makes recommendations as to findings and
disciple of sworn police members; reviews Police Bureau
policies; and adyises IPR on complaint handling processes.
CRC members are appointed by Portland City Council to
serve three-year terms.

A fatal stabbing that occurred early
Thursday near City Hall has lead to
the arrest o f two men. The victim, a
43-year-old man identified as Marc
Sundin, was found collapsed on the
sidewalk and dying from a stab
wound to his chest. Video surveil­
lance images from local stores helped
identify the suspects.
