Be prepared to be surprised, amazed and energized. A
world-class contemporary dance company from Portland
kicks off its 11 th season with three up-and-coming, award­
winning choregraphic voices.
“New, Now and Wow!” is the title of the Northwest
Dance Project ’ s all-premiere performances kicking off this
week and featuring three new works from dance makers of
tomorrow, Jiri Pokomy of the Czech Republic, Yin Yue of
China and New York City and Minh Tran of Portland.
The performances are scheduled Thursday, Friday and
Saturday, Oct. 23-25, at 7:30 p.m. at Lincoln Performance
Hall on the Portland State University campus, 1620 S.W.

Northwest Dance was founded by Sarah Slipper in 2004
with the mission of establishing a world-class contempo­
rary dance company in Portland that only performs origi­
nal works. Over 160 works have been created and pre­
miered in Portland by the group to date.
