song by Johnson in honor of the Julianne Johnson
50th Anniversary of L ’Arche, as
well as guest perform ances by Voices of Soul.

A unique comedy festival opens this week in northeast Portland
bringing together the best and brightest up-and-coming female
comedians from the United States and Canada.
The third annual All Jane No Dick Comedy Festival mostly takes
place at Curious Comedy Theater, 5225 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr.
Blvd., with other events at the Alberta Street Pub and other venues
around town through Sunday. Performers include world-renowned
experimental comedian Kater Berlant, Emmy Award-winning Sara
Schaefer, Phoebe Robinson (creator of Blaria! and Blaria Live!),
DeAnne Smith (2014 finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing),
Apama Nancherla (CONAN, Totally Biased), Brooke Van Poopelen
(MTV’s Girl Code) and Beth Stelling (CONAN, The Pete Holmes
Show). Five-day passes are $80, and tickets to individual shows are
