Acrobatic Dance
Opens Series
Portland’s White Bird Dance opens its 17th season
this week with Diavolo, an internationally renowned
modem acrobatic dance company hailing from Califor-
ma.
Diavolo has created dozens of dance works over the
past two decades, forming one of the dance field's most
compelling repertoires, from seminal pieces like
Trajectoire (2001 ) to new works like Cubicle (2014-
2015).
The upcoming performances will run from Thursday,
Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 11 and will be held at the
Newm ark Theater. Tickets start at $26 and can be
bought through the Portland 5 Box Office.
