Terrell Brandon’s Barbershop, which opened in 1994, was
something the retired NBA player used to think about doing
as a kid. Brandon had a friend at Harriet Tubman Elementary
that used to cut his hair. Brandon used to joke if he ever made
it big, he’d get a barbershop and give people in the commu
nity a place to hang out and share stories. Decades later, the
dream is a reality.
The barbershop was constructed as part of a new complex
on the comer of Northeast 14th and Alberta, attached to
Brandon’s other lucrative and beloved businesses, includ
ing the Cigar Bar, a private cigar club; a limousine service
company; and other ventures; many coming under his busi
ness and entertainment nameplate Tee Bee Enterprises.
