Repair
Café
Thursday
The city of Gresham is co
hosting its first free Repair Café
on Thursday, Aug. 14 from 6
p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Rosewood
Initiative, a nonprofit located at
16126 S.E. Stark St.
The com m unity-building
event, an idea imported from Eu
rope, connects people who fix
stuff with people who need stuff
fixed. Neighborhood volunteers
provide free, simple repairs that
keep toys, clothes and other
household items out of land
fills.
Some of the fixes to be of
fered on a first-come, first-
served basis at T hursday’s
event are bike repairs, small ap
pliance repairs, sewing needs,
and electronics repairs.
