Universal Pictures has just an
nounced the release date for the
highly-anticipated biopic “Straight
Outta Compton,” due in theaters
next summer, Aug. 14,2015.
In the mid-1980s, the streets of
Compton, Calif., were some of the
most dangerous in the country.
When five young men translated
their experiences growing up into
brutally honest music that rebelled
against abusive authority, they gave
an explosive voice to a silenced
generation.
“Straight Outta Compton” tells
the story o f how these youngsters
revolutionized music and pop cul
ture forever the moment they told
the world the truth about life in the
hood and ignited a cultural war.
IceCube and Dr. Dre debuted the
first photo o f the cast last week on
Twitter. O ’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason
Mitchell and Corey Hawkins star as
Ice Cube, Eazy-E and Dr. Dre.
