Will Live On
A mother guides her daughter on the cycling course at the Community Cycling Center’s ‘Bikes for
Kids' festivities Saturday at the Rockwood Boys and Girls Club at 165th and Stark in Gresham. The
non-profit cycling center gave away 100 brand new bikes to deserving children during the event.
Kids Free Second Saturdays
The W orld Forestry Center Dis­
covery Museum is offering free
admission to kids 18 and under the
second Saturday of every month
through the end of the year.
Each second Saturday, between
10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., visitors can
participate in family-friendly crafts,
games and educational activities
centered around trees and nature,
as well as special guest demonstra­
tions from community partners like
the Backyard Bird Shop and Talk
About Trees.

its at no charge, like “The Art of
Dr. Seuss” or the kid-friendly “Go

Sept. 6 and uses popular children’s
books to engage children in the
exciting world o f math and its ev­

The World Forestry Center at
W ashington Park is a nonprofit
educational organization whose
mission is to "educate and inform
people about the world's forests
and trees, and en v iro n m en tal
sustainability."
