Springdale Job Corps Center is seeking a highly motivated, energetic,
and innovative Career Preparation Instructor to join our team!
Jo b D uties Include:
• Provide introduction to Job Corps procedures and facilitate staff
and community partner presentations
• Develop and facilitate engaging classroom and com munity
activities to develop employability skills and clarify career training
choices
• Introduce students to job search and retention skills: resume and
cover letter writing, labor market research, job search resources,
interviewing skills, social media
• Coordinate skills training; diversity, social skills, conflict resolution,
and employability skills
• Introduce students to independent living skills; personal finance,
transportation, housing, nutrition
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:

At 2 7 years running, the Oregon
Brewers Festival is one of the
oldest and best-loved craft beer
festivals in the world.
Crown Jewel
of Beer
Festivals
Over the next five days, craft
breweries from all parts o f the nation
will serve more than 30 beer styles to
at thousands o f beer lovers from
around the world. The Oregon Brew­
ers Festival opens Wednesday and
runs through Sunday, July 27 at
Tom McCall Waterfront Park, down­
town.
The event was founded in 1988
by Art Larrance, co-founder ofPort-
land Brewing Co.; Dick and Nancy
Ponzi o f BridgePort Brewing Co.;
and K urt and Rob W idm er o f
Widmer Bros. Brewing Co. Along
with McMenamins, these were the
only microbreweries in Portland at
the time, and there were just three
more across the state.
Today, there are 173 brewing
companies operating 214 brewing
facilities in 70 cities in Oregon. Port­
land alone has 56 breweries— more
than any other city in the world.
A dm ission into the festiv al
grounds is free. In order to consume
beer, purchase o f a 2014 souvenir
tasting glass is required and costs
$7. Beer is purchased with wooden
tokens, which cost $1 apiece. Pa­

glass o f beer, or one token for a 3oz.

Dance
Demos and
a Movie
All ages are welcome to attend a
National Dance Day celebration on
Saturday, July 26 at Risley Park in
Oak Grove.
The North Clackamas Parks and
Recreation event is free to attend
and is open to the public. You can
watch or try out a few new dance
moves taught by instructors. The
dance classes start at 6:30 p.m. and
cover Zumba, line dancing, hula,
little dancers and tiny tots.
After the dance demos, the movie
Despicable Me will be shown.
