Washington Classic to the WNBA
Congratulations to basketball standout Shoni Schimmel on her selection at the No. 8 pick in the
recent WNBA draft. Schimmel, who played in multiple Portland Observer Joyce Washington
Classic games during her years at Franklin High School before an outstanding college career at
Louisville, is now headed to a professional career with the Atlanta Dream.
