Foundation, Kiggins Theater and
Evergreen Dental are hosting a free
showing of Hugo on Saturday, May
31 at 11 a.m. at the Kiggins Theatre,
1011 Main Street, in Vancouver.
Hugo is based on Brian Selznick’s
award-winning novel The Inven­
tion of Hugo Cabret. The 201 1 movie
won five Oscars— for Best Cinema­
tography, Best Art Direction, Best
Visual Effects, Best Sound Mixing,
and Best Sound editing— and its 11
total nominations (including Best
Picture) was the most for any film at
the 84th Academy Awards.
Concessions will be available and
10 percent of concession sales will
be donated to the Fort Vancouver
Regional Library Foundation to
support Fort Vancouver Regional
Library District’s 2014 Summer Read­
ing Program.
