The community is invited to an appreciation service for
the Rev. Dr. Mary Overstreet-Smith of the Powerhouse
Temple Church of God in Christ, a long time leader in the
African American community who is known for her passion
ate assistance to the disadvantaged and for being a founder
of the free North by Northeast Community Health Clinic.
Rev. Smith is currently experiencing medical challenges,
according to the organizers of the services, scheduled at
Powerhouse Temple, 4525 N. Williams Ave., for Friday, May
16 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May
18 at 3 p.m.
Powerhouse Temple, People of Purpose and Associates,
and Minister Larry Collins are inviting the public and other
members of the religious community to the special events to
thank Smith for the many years of her personal sacrifice and
giving.

He is survived by his mother Luvicer Johnson; his son

Kenny, Eric, and Keith; sisters M ane Taylor, Geneva,
Nicole, Ericka, and Charlotte Johnson; grandchildren
Andre, Nesha, Ki Andre, and Willie Andre Johnson Jr.;
and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, serving as the Construction Manager/Gen-
eral Contractor (CM/GC) for Lane Community College is soliciting bids for I
the construction of the Center for Student Success in Eugene, Oregon.
Terms and conditions of the bid are outlined in Lease Crutcher Lewis LLC |
(CM/GC) “Invitation to Bid", dated May 5, 2014, attached to and made a
part of the Contract Documents.
Bids will be received at the offices of Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, (CM/GC), 550
S W 12* Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97205, until 3:30 PDT, May 27.2014 at which
time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals shall be clearly
marked “Center for Student Success: Bid Package #2"
The total building construction cost is projected to be approximately $26
million.
The scope of work for Bid Package #2 includes demolition, excavation,
underground utilities, structural steel, exterior skin, roofing, glazing, fram
ing and drywall, finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire sprin
klers, flooring, interior finishes, site concrete, landscaping, and equip-1
ment. It is the Intention of Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC to submit bid(s) for
portions of this work.

the City Council, died April 4 at 77.

service to be open to the public.
