Musical ‘Show Boat’ Opens

B ased on E d n a F erber's novel o f the
sam e nam e, S how B oat brings a tale o f
life on the M ississippi from the 1880s to
the 1920s. B o th a lo v e story an d a
pow erfu l rem in d er o f the b itter legacy
o f racism , it spans the 4 0 y ears o f
C aptain A ndy H aw k's fam ily and their
show boat troop o f actors w ho perform
on the C otton B lossom floating theater.
