Poetry and Music Night
Julio Appling, the primary bassist for Portland-
based jam grass group The Student Loan, and fusion
group Trio Flux, will perform during a poetry and
music night, also featuring Clark County Poet Laure­
ate Christopher Luna, Saturday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m.
at the Niche Wine and Art Bar, 1013 Main St., in
Vancouver.
Growing up in Tacoma, Appling’s upbringing in­
cluded classical piano and guitar, gospel guitar and
bass, a little bit of trombone, an Amiga computer,
comics, and a lot of Legos.
Luna is the co-founder of Printed Matter
Vancouver, whose books include Ghost Town Po­
etry, an anthology of poems.
