Guardino’s Gallery, 2939 N.E.
Alberta St., opens its January show
with a reception for the m onth’s
featured artists on Saturday, Jan. 4
from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In the Main Gallery, Shannon
Passon presents her recent encaus
tic and mixed media work, Connec
tivity. Her exploration spans the
more physical and tangible forms of
energy creation to the ways we are
connected on a molecular level.
Sam Hingston, a sculptor work
ing in primarily wood and various
media, focuses on capturing things
like motion, an exerted force, or a
particular feeling.
In Guardino’s Feature Area, Chi
M eredith’s egg tempera paintings
range from detailed narrative works
to non-objective images. In her
paintings she places people, ani
mals, and objects in situations that
can be incongruous and sometimes
ironic or humorous.
‘Every New Way, ’ an encaustic painting by Shannon Passon.
