Teen View of Peninsula Park
Through the
Years, Through
Our Eyes
The premiere screening of a re­
markable teen production, Penin­
sula Park, Through the Years,
Through Our Eyes, takes place on
Sunday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at the
Hollywood Theatre. Admission is
free.
The documentary was created
by local students in conjunction
with this year’s 100th anniversary
celebration of the north Portland
park and community center.
Students spent weeks inter­
viewing Portland Parks and Rec­
reation experts and filming video
of the park with guidance from
professional film makers and us­
ing cameras and sound equipment
provided by the Hollywood The­
ater.
A canned food drive to benefit
the Portland Police Bureau’s Sun­
shine Division, as well as a coat
drive for Trillium Family Services
will be conducted in conjunction
with the film’s screening. Movie­
goers will enjoy a panel discus­
sion featuring the teen filmmak­
ers, and light refreshments will be
served.

presents the classic cult comedy
‘Repo Man, ’ Friday, Dec. 27 at
8:45 p.m. at the Portland Art
Museum’s Whitsell Auditorium.
Emilio Estevez stars in one of his
earliest roles as a modern apoca­
lyptic teen up to his armpits in
drugs, sex, and parental neglect.
He soon finds a way out through
an ace repo man who teaches
him the ways o f the car-repos­
sessing trade.
