An increase in electric rates will be
coming to Portland General Electric
customers in 2014. The average rate
impacts are projected by the Or­
egon Public Utilities Commission to
be 5.5 percent for residential cus­
tomers and 2.5 percent for commer­

But as of Tuesday, the site still

A company named Mars One an­
nounced on Tuesday it has secured
lead suppliers for an unmanned mis­
sion to Mars and had signed over
200,000 people as potential coloniz­
ers of the Red Planet. The company
says it is possible humans could
colonize the planet starting in 2015.

Walker, star of the movie franchise
‘Fast and Furious’, was killed one
week earlier in a fiery car crash in Los
Angeles. W alker was 40; his friend
