through Portland on W ednes­
day, Aug. 21 at Mississippi Stu­
dios for a night of amazing li ve
music.
Majical Cloudz is a duo with
a diverse range and not easily
rivaled emotional intensity. With
a 2013 Polaris Prize nom ina­
tion for their album Imperson­
ator, Pitchfork calls it a "gor­
geous record, extraordinarily
sung and hypnotically focused.”
Opening the show will be the
Toronto-based Moon King, led
by the charismatic Daniel Ben­
jam in and Maddy Wilde, a duo
who craft some high-octane,
fuzzed out jam s built around
'80s punk riffs and driving pop
melodies.
