Bike Skills Park celebrated
by New Columbia neighbors
Residents of the New Columbia neighborhood are cel­
ebrating the grand opening of a new Bike Skills Park.
Located on the comer of North Trenton Street and Woolsey
Avenue, the park will offer a safe riding area for people of all
ages and skill levels.
“Last year, this once vacant lot transform ed into a
vibrant, active space for the New Colum bia com m unity
with the completion o f the Bike Repair Hub,” noted Jonnie
Ling, Com m unity Cycling Center director o f operations.
“We are so excited to work with residents on skill devel­

The Bike Skills Park project was made possible by
$15,500 grant from the Portland Developm ent Commis
sion. Home Forward, the property owner, will provid
ongoing m aintenance and security for the Skills Park.
