Two for One Circus Fun
The Underscore Orkestra and Wanderlust Circus Orchestra team up for a night of
gypsy circus magic. The show will keep your eyes popping with acrobats, aerialists
and vaudevillian virtuosi in time with the beat of the two musical families. Doors
open Friday, May 17 at 8 p.m. at the Alberta Rose Theater, 3000 N. Alberta St., with
the show beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

With a tremendous leap in stu­
dent achievement, and reinvigorated
arts program, King Elementary cer­
tainly has a lot to dance about these
days. That is why the theme of King’s
second annual benefit auction is
Bailamos! We Dance!
The Saturday, May 18 event will
feature entertainment by prominent
Portland jazz artists Curtis Salgado
and Thara Memory with his Ameri­
can Music Program. The Latino
mother's group will be making much
of the food for a Latin inspired ban­
quet.
Last year over $20,000 was rai sed,
and this year King supporters are
only hoping to raise more. Tickets
are $35 each and can be purchased
at kingpta.org.
