Rarely do diverse communities come together to share their oral histories. That is why this Saturday, May 11 Irvington Covenant Church will serve as host to “Shared,” an event where Portland residents of varied backgrounds, races, and ages will orally share their stories about the city from the 1940s through the 1960s. Located at 4046 N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., the event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Contact Tory Campbell at 503-287-5226 for more information.
