Iconic Dance
Company Returns
The Paul Taylor Dance Company in Brandenburgs, one
o f Taylor’s showcase works with his thrilling use o f
leaping, falling, running and jumping.
Portland’s W hite Bird dance
series is proud to present the ea­
gerly aw aited return of the Paul
Taylor Dance Com pany on T hurs­
day, April 4 through Saturday,
April 6.
The world-acclaimed company
launched White Bird in October
1997, and this will be the fifth ap­
pearance of the group — more than
any other company White Bird has
presented in its 15-year history.
Previously perform ing at the
Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, the
com pany will appear for the first
time at the m ore intim ate 880-seat
Ne wmark Theatre for three perfor­
mances. Tickets are $26 to $64.
This beacon of m odern dance,
led by Paul Taylor, is considered
by many critics to be A m erica’s
greatest choreographer.
The evening will bring together
Paul T ay lo r’s 16 superb dancers
with his fam ed m usicality in cho­
reography that has prom pted The
San Francisco C hronicle to de­
clare, “The A m erican spirit soars
w h e n e v e r T a y l o r ’ s d a n c e rs
d an ce.”

NBC’s The Voice Season 3 con­
testant De'borah has released her
debut single, ‘Coming Out Looking
Good.’
Featuring choir-like backing vo­
cals, a pulsating drum
beat, and the fierce
vocals that made her a
fan favorite, the track
show cases a gifted
artist who isn’t afraid
to be true to herself
and to her art.
