History Museum presents
entertaining schedule
Looking for ways to entertain
your kids during Spring Break?
The Oregon History Museum will
be offering family activities, Mon­
day, March 25 through Friday,
March29, from 10 a.m. - Noon.
Stop by the museum at 1200
S.W. Park Ave. to make your own
com husk doll, and explore exhib­
its in a daily scavenger hunt. Lis­
ten to Oregon history come alive
with stories from the Oregon Trail
and an artifact show and tell.
The exhibits include:
• AU Aboard: Railroading and
Portland's Black Com m unity.
This new exhibit by the Oregon
Black Pioneers focuses on the
lives of African American railroad
workers in Portland in the late
1800s to 1940s and the community
that grew up around Union Sta­
tion during that period.
• Tough by Nature: Portraits
of Cowgirls and Ranch Women of
the Am erican W est. Visitors will
be exposed to the daily lives of H istory, combines the technol- visitors a chance to explore the
American ranch women through ogyoftoday with stories from the issues and events that shaped
p ain tin g s, lith o g rap h s, and past. This interactive exhibit gives Oregon from 1950 forward.

Voices. Oregon My Oregon is an
award-winning exhibit that tells

dustries.
