red onion in the h o t oil until tender. S tir in the g ro u n d
chicken; co o k and stir until co m p letely brow ned. T ra n sfer
the m ix tu re to the slow c o o k e r and retu rn the sk illet to the
heat. F ry the sausage in the reh eated skillet until co m p letely
b ro w n ed and crum bly; ad d to the slow cooker. M ix the
to m ato paste and k id n ey b ean s into th e chili. C o n tin u e
cooking on H igh another 2 hours. S w itch the heat to L ow and
sim m er 4 hours m ore.
