Heart of
the Matter
February brings “The Heart of the Mat
ter,” a group show about the heart at Alberta’s
Guardino Gallery, 2939 N.E. Alberta St.
The gallery’s feature area will spotlight a
show about everyone’s favorite image for a
month that’s anchored to Valentine’s Day.
Seventeen artists put their special take on
hearts for the month-long exhibit. This is the
fifth?year for this popular group show.
The main gallery will feature intricate con
structions by Daniel Castelaz that he refers
to as “objects.” Soumya Jayaraman, a fine art
photographer, shows some of her surreal
