First Winter Concert Saturday
The first winter concert of the Vancouver Sym­
phony Orchestra’s chamber series under the direction
of Michael C. Liu takes place Saturday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
at Trinity Lutheran Church, 309 W. 39th St.
The concert features pianists Liu and guest
Katherine Hobbie; the orchestra’s principal clari­
net Igor Shakhm an; the orchestra’s horn Jam es
Cam eron; and special guest soprano C hristina
Kowalski.
The chamber series was created to highlight the
talents of some of the Northwest’s brightest musical
talents in an intimate setting.
